Sunday April 20. 46 new, 7 recaps, new species Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. Erin Karnatz, assisted by Shirley Meston, Anna Ludi and Ann Adams enjoyed the first Blue-gray Gnatcatcher of the season.
Monday April 21. 20 new, 0 recaps, new species Chipping Sparrow. BIC Jon Dombrowski assisted by Chara Batchelder, Jeanne Skelly, Ann Adams, and Judy Gurley were able to band 20 birds in between light showers.
Tuesday April 22. 6 new, 1 recap. We had to close all the nets after just 2.5 hours of operation because of rain.
Wednesday April 23. Closed due to rain
Thursday April 24. 4 new, 1 recap. A very slow day for BIC John Waud assisted by Jon Dombrowski, Anna Ludi, Cindy Marino, Brian McGrath, and Barb Wagner - more people than birds!
Friday April 25. 10 new, 3 recaps. Another slow day!
Saturday April 26. 21 new, 2 recaps. BIC John Waud assisted by Anna Ludi, Shirley Meston, and Ann Adams enjoyed a male Sharp-shinned Hawk and a Blue Jay recapture from spring 2002.
