Sunday October 17. 34 new, 29 recaps. Wind and rain only allow for 55 total net hours of operation, but plenty of birds are in the area. Three recaptured Black-throated Blue Warblers are a nice way to start the day. The crew from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology includes Anya Illes, Michelle Hall, Mike Harvey, Jesse Ellis, Michelle Rogne, and David Bonter. Jesse's Mom brings boxes of donuts, which are devoured before taking down many of the nets for the season.

Monday October 18. 269 new. Bob McKinney was bander-in-charge with the help of Doug Smith, Jeanne Skelly, and Chita McKinney on a busy late fall day after the passage of a cold front.

Saturday October 23. 74 new.  Bob and Chita McKinney were kept busy processing 74 birds under clear skies and bright sun.
