Sunday October 3. 79 new, 18 recaps. Kelly Dockery is bander-in-charge (BIC) with help from North American Banding Council trainers and candidates and we have a little more activity than the day before including a Sharp-shinned Hawk and 42 White-throated Sparrows.

Monday October 4. 23 new, 11 recaps. Cindy Marino is BIC with help from Shirley Meston, Peggy Fuller, Virginia Duffy and Marilyn Guenther. A cold front moves through - it should be a good day tomorrow.

Tuesday October 5. 339 new, 18 recaps; new species Eastern Towhee. It's a wild, wonderful day with constant action. A wonderful crew of keeps up and we band 204 kinglets (124 Ruby and 80 Golden-crowned!). The Hermit Thrushes have moved in and we band 20. Greta Stephany comes and mends nets for us.

Wednesday October 6. 134 new, 22 recaps. The bird of the day is a hatch-year male Scarlet Tanager. Carol Southby brings plants for our Memorial Garden.

Thursday October 7. 146 new, 26 recaps; new species Tufted Titmouse. It's a slow start to the day but is fairly steady all day and includes 57 White-throated Sparrows.

Friday October 8. 102 new, 26 recaps. We have SW winds but still band 102 birds. We welcome the help of Ron and Gloria Stanbridge from the UK. Peter and Ryan enjoy a trip to Letchworth State Park in the late afternoon.

Saturday October 9. 36 new, 16 recaps. It's too windy to raise very many nets so Bob McKinney is only able to band 36 birds.
