Banding Summary: Week of September 5, 2004

Sunday September 5. 18 new, 2 recaps; new species Veery, Mourning Warbler, and Lincoln's Sparrow. Bander-in-charge(BIC) is Erin Karnatz assisted by Kelly Dockery and Chris Villone. Bird of the day is Gray Catbird with six banded.

Monday September 6. 10 new, 0 recaps; no new species. A very slow day. Cindy Marino is BIC assisted by Shirley Meston, Peggy Fuller and Marilyn Guenther. 

Tuesday September 7. 15 new, 6 recaps, no new species. Another slow day. Kelly Dockery is BIC assisted by Doug Smith, Donna Hilborn and Linda Boutwell. Magnolia Warbler is bird of the day with 6 banded.

Wednesday September 8. 25 new, 2 recaps; new species Swainson's Thrush. We have nice variety with a total of 16 species banded today.

Thursday September 9. No banding today because of heavy rains from the remnants of Hurricane Frances.

Friday September 10. 52 new, 6 recaps; new species Ruby-crowned Kinglet and Orange-crowned Warbler. We have good variety today with 17 species banded including 15 Magnolia Warblers. 

Saturday September 11. 48 new, 13 recaps; new species Black-throated Green Warbler, White-throated Sparrow and American Goldfinch. Bob McKinney is BIC with help from Chita McKinney, Jeanne Skelly and Linda Boutwell.
