Week of May 2, 2004 |

Sunday May 2. 62 new, 9 recaps. New species Lincoln's Sparrow. Cindy Marino is
bander-in-charge with Chris Villone, Pat Lovallo, and Marilyn Guenther. Ruby-crowned Kinglet is the bird of the day with 23 banded.
Monday May 3. 58 new, 11 recaps. New species Chestnut-sided Warbler, Scarlet Tanager. We welcome back Patti O'Kane for her annual spring visit. Ryan Kayhart finally gets to band his first ASY-M Scarlet Tanager, a beauty! Bird of the day is Myrtle Warbler with 16 banded.
Tuesday May 4. 46 new, 13 recaps. New species Veery, American Goldfinch. We welcome back Erin Karnatz with Delaney and 6-week old Rowan who sleeps through his mother's banding.
Wednesday May 5. 119 new, 13 recaps. New species Baltimore Oriole.
Thursday May 6. 80 new, 19 recaps. New species Yellow-shafted Flicker, Magnolia Warbler, Purple Finch. Carol Southby brings lunch and her usual expertise for our Memorial Garden.
Friday May 7. 74 new, 6 recaps. New species Brewster's Warbler and Common Grackle. We enjoy a visit from Sean Hanna, DEC Region 8 Director, and Bob McKinney, who is recovering well now from hip replacement surgery. Bird of the day was Blue Jay with 24 banded!
Saturday May 8. 22 new, 12 recaps. Charley Eiseman is bander-in-charge
and is assisted by Ryan Kayhart, Virginia Duffy and Jeanne Skelly with Paula Peng scribing.
