Sunday, May 30. 42 new, 17 recaptures. Spring migration seems to be coming to an end with a nice diversity of species (22), but few individuals of each species captured.  Highlights include very late birds such as a White-crowned Sparrow and a one-eyed Ruby-crowned Kinglet. The weather forecast for our last day is spotty, so we take down the elevated nets with the help of Cornellians Evan Barbour and Dana Hawley.

Monday, May 31. 26 new, 14 recaptures. The rain holds off for 5 hours after sunrise, but few birds are around. We end the season with 3,891 birds banded. Special thanks to the crew who helped pack up the station-- Marilyn Guenther, Shirley Meston, Ann Adams, Judith Scarl, and John Waud.
