Banding Summary:
Week of September 4, 2005 |

Sunday September 4. 24 new, 7 recaps, 18 species. We band 8 warbler species including Nashville, Magnolia, Myrtle, Blackpoll, American Redstart, Northern Waterthrush, Common Yellowthroat, and Wilson's Warbler.
Monday September 5. 25 new, 13 recaps, 13 species. New species Blue-headed Vireo. A first-of-the-fall Blue-headed Vireo along with a Philadelphia and Red-eyed Vireo is nice.
Tuesday September 6. 35 new, 18 species. Bird-of-the day is Blackpoll Warbler with five banded. Bob McKinney is
bander-in-charge (BIC) with help from Donna Hilborn, Cindy Marino, and Chita McKinney and visitors Rosemary and Rolly Harris.
Wednesday September 7. 31 new, 13 recaps, 4 species. New species Scarlet Tanager. Bird-of-the-day is Red-eyed Vireo with 10 banded, but the highlight is a first-of-the-fall Scarlet Tanager.
Thursday September 8. 44 new, 9 recaps, 16 species. New species Connecticut Warbler. We banded 11 warbler species including 8 Magnolia and 8 Blackpoll Warblers, but the bird-of-the-day is the season's first Connecticut Warbler!
Friday September 9. 61 new, 12 recaps, 22 species. New species Gray-cheeked Thrush. Bird-of-the-day is White-throated Sparrow with nine banded.
Saturday September 10. 68 new, 15 species. Bob McKinney is BIC with help from Pat Lovallo and Chita McKinney. There were 22 White-throated Sparrows captured on one net round - a sign of things to come.
