Sunday September 2. 40 new of 17 species;
15 recaps; new species Ruby-throated Hummingbird ,Bay-breasted
Warbler and White-throated Sparrow. Erin Karnatz is
BIC with help from Leanna Twohig, Kelly Dockery and
Scott Walcott.
Monday September 3. 24 new of 12 species; 11 recaps;
new species Connecticut Warbler. Cindy Marino is BIC
with help from Marian Klik and Shirley Meston.
Tuesday September 4. 66 new of 24 species; 22 recaps;
new species Brown Creeper and Blackburnian Warbler.
Kelly Dockery is BIC with assistance from Doug Smith,
Ruth Stork, Pat Lovallo and Kathleen Holt and Tom Verhulst.
Wednesday September 5. 37 new of 13 species; 12 recaps;
new species Lincoln Sparrow. Kelly Dockery is BIC with
help from Lee Schofield and Marilyn Guenther. Heavy
rain ends the morning of banding at 3 hours after sunrise.
Magnolia Warbler is bird of the day with 11 banded.
Thursday September 6. 44 new of 20 species; 21 recaps;
new species Gray-cheeked Thrush. Jon Dombrowski is BIC
with help from Gary Herbert, Pat Lovallo, Sue Evans,
and Barb and Glenn Wagner. Sue spends a good part of
the morning mending nets for us. We band 12 warbler
species including Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Myrtle,
Blackburnian, Blackpoll, Black-and-white, American Redstart,
Northern Waterthrush, Mourning, Common Yellowthroat,
Wilson’s and Canada Warbler!
Friday September 7. 32 new of 11 species; 14 recaps.
John Waud is BIC with help from John Lehr, Judy Engerman,
and Marilyn Guenther. We are without power for an hour
so move outside to make use of the sunlight. Birds of
the day are Magnolia and Blackpoll Warbler with 7 banded
of each.
Saturday September 8. 45 new of 17 species. Bob McKinney
is BIC with help from Chita. Bird of the day is Gray
Catbird with 9 banded.
