     Education
BBBO offers a variety of educational programs:

Bander Training Course:
The course is taught each spring during peak migration where capture rates of 100 - 300 birds per day are not uncommon.  The course is designed to provide adults with a variety of hands-on experiences, allowing participants to learn the proper way to handle and band songbirds.

Field Assistant Position:
Each season, BBBO hires one or two field assistants to assist will banding and other tasks.

Bander Certification:
BBBO has hosted several bander certification sessions sponsored by the North American Banding Council.

Banding Demonstrations
Occasionally, BBBO volunteers are available to give on-site and off-site banding demonstrations and/or slide presentations. Please call us at 585-234-3525 and leave a message -- we'll get back to you with more information.

Special Workshops:
BBBO occasionally hosts special workshops, including an advanced banding workshop with Peter Pyle in 2010.
